Adding Product Options

Product Options can be added either globally, per category, or per product. This is done:

  • globally under Manage Products -> "Add / Edit pull down options for ALL products"
  • per category under -> Manage Collections/Categories -> "Add / Edit pull down options for all products in this Collection/Category"
  • per product: Manage Products -> Edit (on the specific product) -> "Add/Edit pull down options for this product"

Using Product Options for Shipping Charges

You can add drop down menus with standard shipping charges (or any other additional charges) 3 ways.

When you add a menu make a written log of where each Add On menu was added; you will need to know which method you used to add the menu if you want to ever edit or delete that menu. Menus are deleted by blanking out all text and clicking submit at the bottom of the page.

  1. For ALL PRODUCTS -these menus will show on every product page: Manage Products > Leave All Products in the drop down, click the link for "Add/Edit pull down options for ALL products" > follow onscreen instructions
  2. For a particular Collection or Category -these menus will show on every product of the selected Collection or Category (note, whenever new products are added to that collection or category the menu will automatically be added to the new products) : Manage Collection/Categories > Select a Collection or Category in the drop down, click the link for "Add/Edit pull down options for ALL products" > follow onscreen instructions
  3. For a particular product - these menus will be added only to a specific product: Manage Products > find the particular product to which you want to add a menu, you can filter by a collection or category and then click the Edit button next to the product or you can search for a particular product by style # and click the Edit button (note that when you search by style # you may get duplicate results of a product. All of the results should show the same product ID #, this indicates that they are not duplicates, but rather that they are designated to multiple categories, you only need to click the Edit button and add the menu to one of the results. If there are multiple results of the same product with different product ID's then you should research why you have duplicates; this should be corrected, contact customer Service) > click the "Add/Edit pull down options for ALL products" for that particular style (near the middle of the product edit screen) > follow onscreen instructions.
